Hamilton, ON (May 26, 2017) –  The Canadian Junior Golf Association (CJGA) is proud to host the David Hearn Junior Series presented by Kia this weekend at the beautiful Glendale Golf and Country Club in Hamilton, ON. Players will be battling it out for a spot in the David Hearn Kia Championship in September in St. Catharines, ON.

Glendale Golf and Country Club will be a treat for players to golf this weekend. The course is carved out of the Niagara Escarpment and the course layout is over hills and lush forests. Grand old trees tower over players tee shots. The trees at Glendale transform the fairways making them look more narrow. The greens are framed by tree lines and often protected by bunkers. The escarpment affect is something players should keep in the back of their mind, as flat putts seem to break hard away from the escarpment.

Players will try to dodge the rain this weekend. Saturday’s forecast predicts for good scoring conditions with a mix of sun and clouds with low winds and 22 degrees. The final round could see juniors battling the rain while coming down the stretch but the winds should stay down.

With a win, juniors will automatically earn a spot in the David Hearn Kia Championship and they could also potential earn a spot at the IMG Academy Junior World Golf Championships in San Diego in July 10-14.
