Innisfil, ON (June 14, 2015)- The CJGA Linksters took to the course at Innisfil Creek in hopes of gaining the victory in their respective divisions. The day began with sunny skies that continued throughout the whole day to give golfers optimal conditions for some intense competition.

Boys 11 – 13

In a division full of strong golfers, Chun-Kit Chung of Newmarket, ON was the champion on the day. Chung claimed his first CJGA victory of the season carding a score of 72 (+3). Ryan Hogan (Burlington, ON) took home second place with a score of 78 (+8). Finishing in third place was Ashton McCulloch (Kingston, ON) with a score of 81 (+11).

Girls 10 – 13

Rozlyn Rooke (Milton, ON) continued her great season with the CJGA on Wednesday claiming her first victory. Rooke had her sixth top five finish of the year carding a score of 87 (+13). Placing second on the day was Jia An of North York, ON finishing with a score of 90 (+16). In third place was Vanessa Torchetti (Woodbridge, ON) with a score of 94 (+20).

Boys 9 – 10

Anthony Tsiantis (Richmond Hill, ON) was able to win his division by shooting an impressive score of 83 (+9) on the day. Anthony will look to repeat this victory at Country Club Golf Course in August. The competition for second place was tight as only one stroke separated second and third place. William Lin (North York, ON) took second place with a score of 91 (+17). In a tie for third place both shooting scores of 92 (+18) were Brian Lai of North York, ON and Brett Cameron Ng of Maples, ON.

Girls 9 & Under

In a division with many talented young golfers, Reese Ng (Maples, ON) was the leader in this division shooting a score 46 (+11). Coming in a very close second only two strokes behind first place, was Yerin Lee (Toronto, ON) carding a score of 48 (+13). Rounding out the division was Mia Wong from Markham, ON shooting a score of 56 (+21) for third place.

Boys 8 & Under

In the closest division of the day a three-way playoff was used to break the 44-stroke tie. Coming away with the victory on the second hole of the playoff was Jacob Spurr (Missisauga, ON) with a birdie. In second place falling just short of the victory was Xavier Sam of Burlington, ON. Taking third place in the playoff was Estraid Poudy of Vaudreull-Dorion, QC.
