Make a difference in the golf community

As a volunteer, you play a crucial role in developing our youth both in life and in the incredible game of golf. By volunteering with the Canadian Junior Golf Association (CJGA), you help us achieve our mission of providing inclusive programs for all young people, regardless of economic or other disadvantages. Your support is vital in expanding CJGA programs that build character, foster a competitive spirit, and develop essential skills in our youth.

Volunteer Opportunities

High School Volunteer Initiative

The CJGA is offering high school students a chance to complete their 40 mandatory community involvement hours through engaging and meaningful volunteer work.

Through their involvement, students will build essential skills in leadership, communication, event coordination, and teamwork while supporting programs for children and youth aged 6–18.

At CJGA events, volunteers assist with the following tasks:

  • Event registration
  • Monitoring the pace of play during the event
  • Marshalling
  • Assisting with scoring after the event
  • Obtaining prizes or giveaways for CJGA events and tournaments
  • Taking photos of the event and prize presentation
  • Emceeing at events

Alternatively, volunteers can assist with fundraising:

  • Approach local corporations, businesses, or friends to donate or sponsor the Canadian Junior Golf Association.
  • Assist in raising funds through donations to help reduce costs, allowing more youth to experience the game of golf.
  • Help secure donations of prizes for events.
  • Reach out to your local golf club to host an event, increasing awareness of the Canadian Junior Golf Association.
  • Help obtain junior member lists from your club to inform them about CJGA opportunities.
