Richmond Hill, ON (June 29, 2015) – The Canadian Junior Golf Association (CJGA) Junior Tour stops in at Eagle Ridge Golf Club July 2 – 4 for the CJGA Eastern Canadian Junior Championship. The 3 round tournament is set to be a great event, with juniors looking to earn exemptions into CJGA national events, including the CJGA Mizuno National Junior Golf Championship and the CJGA PING Canadian Junior Match Play Championship.

Eagle Ridge provides today’s golfer with that perfect combination: A mature course with modern features. Designed by Hall of Fame architect Robbie Robinson, Georgetown GC opened in 1958 as a lovely parkland course known for its wonderfully rambunctious character, complete with valleys, scenic views, elevated tee shots, and the Credit River that runs through the property.

Since it joined the ClubLink family and was renamed Eagle Ridge Golf Club, the course has undergone a series of upgrades, including significant renovations to tee boxes, bunkers and fairways.

Eagle Ridge is a classic strategic course, providing the golfer with plenty of options, but there are times when you’ve got to make the shot, such as the harrowing approach to the par-4 10th green set on a hillside guarded by giant stands of trees.

The charming clubhouse has a beautiful patio overlooking the 18th green, a bar with great character for lunch, dinner or just a beverage, as well as meeting space and a banquet room perfect for weddings or parties. Eagle Ridge is also renowned for its Friday night barbecues and Sunday brunches.

Eagle Ridge is a lovely walk made even better in the Escarpment countryside just northwest of Greater Toronto.

The weather forecast for the event is looking promising, with a high of 20+ degrees all 3 days and mainly sunny skies.
