-CJGA to host regional and local qualifiers throughout 2024 calendar season-

Richmond Hill, Ontario (December 8th, 2023) – The Canadian Junior Golf Association (CJGA) is excited to announce an extension of our partnership with the Notah Begay III Junior Golf National Championship (NB3JGNC), which will see the CJGA become the exclusive nationwide host of NB3JGNC regional and local qualifiers north of the border.

To kick-start the 2024 extension of our partnership, we are excited to announce the Notah Begay III JGNC Alberta Regional Qualifier at Turner Valley, which will take place on June 22nd – 23rd, and will be available to qualify for through the 25 local qualifiers the CJGA will host on our 2024 season schedule. Stay tuned for official dates and locations of these local qualifiers in the coming weeks!

“We could not be more excited to grow our partnership with the Notah Begay III Junior Golf National Championship,” said Tyler Torrieri, CJGA Director of Tour Operations. “The team at NB3JGNC has built a world-class championship that hosts the best junior golfers in the world, and we look forward to adding to that extensive list of talent with players from Canada.”

“It has been pleasure to work with the CJGA and we look forward to our relationship with them in 2024. Several of their tournaments throughout the country will act as qualifiers so that juniors can make it to our Canadian Championship. Several top finishers from the NB3 Canadian Championship will then move onto the Worldwide Notah Begay III Championship in the U.S. and will have the chance to be featured in a 2-hour TV broadcast on the Golf Channel. This year some of the best Canadian junior golfers made it to the States and we plan to provide more opportunities for these junior golfers to be featured at our championships in November of 2024.” Dan F. Crowther, Global Managing Director of the NBIII.

This year the Notah Begay III Jr. Golf National Championship Series (NB3 JGNC) will offer Canadian juniors the opportunity to qualify at 3 different levels; locally, regionally, and then at the Canadian Championship hosted by the Kanawaki Golf Club in Kahnawake, Quebec on July 29th – 30th. Players will then move onto a 54-hole Worldwide Championship in Louisiana that will air on Golf Channel during a 2-hour broadcast each December. The NB3JGNC is open to boys and girls ages 10-18.
