CJGA Hurricane Series Opener at Silver Brooke Presented by Hometurf Recap

Lisle, ON (April 16^th, 2023) – The Canadian Junior Golf Association (CJGA) tee’d up our 30^th Anniversary Season in Ontario this weekend with the playing of the CJGA Hurricane Series Opener at Silver Brooke Presented by Hometurf, our first of 54 events on our 2023 season schedule on both the CJGA Junior and Linkster Tours.

CJGA players, parents, and staff were treated to unusually nice weather for mid-April, which led to dry conditions and low scores at the beautiful Silver Brooke Golf Club in Lisle, Ontario.

Divisional Winners

Junior Girls Division (U19)

2022 TaylorMade All-Canadian Team member Kaprice Parks picks up the Junior Girls Division win

Junior Boys Division (U19)

Justin Repovs ties for lowest total score on the tournament and wins the Junior Boys Division⁣.

Bantam Girls Division (U15)

2022 Mizuno Female Player of the Year Nobelle Park picks up where she left off last year and wins the Bantam Girls Division⁣.

• R2: 71
• TOT: 147 (+3)

Bantam Boys Division (U15)

Chase Jerome goes wire-to-wire to win the Bantam Boys Division ⁣

Scores:

• R1: 72
• R2: 79
• TOT: 151 (+7)

Juvenile Boys Division (U17)

With four wins in 2022, Dawson Lew wins his first event of 2023⁣ in the Juvenile Boys Division⁣

• TOT: 146 (+2)

Amateur Women Division (U24t)

Bryden Dilley wins her first event of 2023 after winning three throughout 2022 in the Amateur Women Division

About the Canadian Junior Golf Association

The Canadian Junior Golf Association (CJGA) is a “registered Canadian amateur athletic association” (RCAAA) non-for-profit registered federally with Revenue Canada. The CJGA is dedicated to providing Canada’s junior golfers with the necessary skills and knowledge required to lay a foundation for a future in competitive golf.

Through its six-stage competitive development program that focuses on tournaments, international competitions, and mentoring programs, the CJGA introduces the game to juniors as young as five and offers competitive multi-day events for the more advanced golfer.
