~ CJGA will operate U.S. Kids Golf Local Tours in Canada~

North York, Ontario (May 2, 2019) ~ The Canadian Junior Golf Association (CJGA) and U.S. Kids Golf have formalized a relationship that will see the CJGA operate U.S. Kids Golf Local Tours in Canada starting in 2019.

“We are extremely pleased to be working with U.S. Kids Golf and give greater opportunity for junior golfers in Canada to earn spots in the U.S. Kids Golf World Golf Championship” said Reegan Price, CJGA Director of Tour Operations. “We believe this partnership will create a greater level of interest from junior golfers as there is now a greater opportunity in front of them.”

The CJGA will begin with three Summer Local Tours in in 2019, in Alberta, Ontario, and Atlantic Canada.

“It’s certainly an honor to get the opportunity to serve the families and golf communities in Canada,” stated Chris Vonderkall, Vice President of U.S. Kids Golf. “We know that the best golf experiences revolve around family time, including the parent-caddie role, as well as the friends and fun that these tournaments will bring. This relationship will be a big part in providing those for the families here.”

Stated Doug Lawrie, Head Teaching Professional at Credit Valley Golf and Country Club and recognized on U.S. Kids Top 50 Master list:

“Junior Golf is a game played around the world. It is a game that allows Juniors from different countries and backgrounds to share a common thread that binds them together. I am so excited to see the Canadian Junior Golf Association and U.S. Kids Golf use their common thread of competition, as the reason to bring forward an incredibly beneficial and strategic partnership. Being on the ground floor and opening the doors for these two Junior-centric organizations to come together was not just a thrill but my pleasure. I know Junior Golf in Canada is now stronger than ever.”
