Palm Harbor, FL (December 27, 2018) – Juniors golfers will descend on Innisbrook Golf & Resort as the Canadian Junior Golf Association (CJGA) prepares for the 26th annual CJGA World Junior Challenge.  The resort will host over 170 juniors from 26 different countries on the Copperhead, Island and North courses December 28-30.

“We are always excited to be back at Innisbrook for this event” stated CJGA Tournament Director Brad Mellon.  “To have 26 different countries competing is extremely exciting and we can’t wait for the tournament to get started.”

The Copperhead course on the property is home to the Valspar Championship won earlier this year by Paul Casey.

For the second consecutive year, Visit St Pete/Clearwater is proud to partner with the CJGA and welcoming the international junior golfers to the region.

The event has had a number of notable past participants including PGA Tour member and Georgia native Harris English.  English captured the event twice (2002 and 2003) during his junior career.  Michael Thorbjornsen, the 2018 U.S. Junior Amateur champion won the 2015 CJGA World Junior Challenge as a bantam.
