Winter Garden, Florida (March 16, 2018) – The Canadian Junior Golf Association hosted the 5th Annual CJGA Spring Break International at West Orange Country Club in Wintergarden, Florida presented by MMG Performance. The first and second day were contested under extreme freezing weather conditions. Juniors kept warm throughout their rounds by wearing double layers of golf clothing to remain focused on the course. Players were able to battle through the cold to post credible scores at West Orange Country Club in Winter Garden, Florida.

Junior Boys U19

Evan MacLean from Sudbury, ON was able to lock up another CJGA tournament for Canadians in Winter Garden, Florida March 16, 2018 at West Orange Country Club. Evan entered the final round 2 strokes behind Logan Boucher who ended up third through retrogression. Evan was able to win with a low round of 72 on the final day to win by 4 strokes with a total of 152.

Ashton McCulloch from Kingston, ON with rounds of 79 and 77, 156 finished 2nd.

Junior Girls U19

Mariya Savchenko from Moscow, Russia won Junior Girls division. Savchenko entered the final round with a six shot lead and was able to extend her lead on the final day shooting rounds of 80 and 77 for a total of 157.

Runner up in the Junior Girls division was Shannyn Vogler of Sherrard, IL. Vogler had tournament rounds of 86-85-171.

Bantam Boys U15

Mississauga’s own Elian Infante was able to hoist the Bantam Boys division title at West Orange Country Club this past. Elian entered the final round with a 7 stroke lead and continued his hold on the field by eagling the par 5, 18th hole. Ishaan Sandu, also, from Mississauga took 2nd place.

Bantam Girls U15

Peyton Costabile from Ayr, ON captured the Bantam Girls division title at the CJGA Spring Break International. Costabile posted rounds of 92-93-185 to comfortably win the division trophy. Costabile entered the final round with a five shot lead over Emily Chan. Emily made it close by shooting a final round 89, only to lose by 1 stroke. Emily’s effort in the final run challenged Costabile until the final whole when all was decided with Emily finishing second by one stroke.
