St. Catherines, ON (September 8th, 2017) – The Canadian Junior Golf Association is very excited to get the 2017 Fall Series started this weekend with the David Hearn Kia Championship being hosted at Rockway Vineyards Golf Course in St. Catherines, ON. The field is composed of champions of the season long David Hearn Junior Series events, along players that have been invited by the CJGA selection committee. PGA Tour professional David Hearn, will be at the golf course on Sunday for a clinic, to answer any questions from juniors and to sign autographs.
Rockway Vineyards Golf Course is surrounded by the wonderful Rockway Vineyards and will prepare juniors for an unparalleled golf experience. The course will challenge juniors off of the tee, as they will need to be accurate to be able to record good scores. With multiple water hazards and strategically placed sand traps, players will need to have great course management to become the champion on Sunday. The eighteenth hole at Rockway is their signature hole and one of the only finishing par threes in the Niagara region. It will demand players to carry their tee shot over a large pond, a good play would be to the middle of the green and two putt for par.
The weather should be great on the weekend for the David Hearn Kia Championship. Forecasts call for clear skies with cooler temperatures around 18 degrees.
