London, ON (August 23rd, 2017) – The weather was beautiful during the second round of the CJGA Mizuno National Championship at Greenhills Golf Club. The sun was out all morning before some clouds moved in during the afternoon but overall it was a great day for scoring at Greenhills. There was a cut after the second round for the Junior Boys division which was made at a two day total of 161.

Junior Boys U19

Ryan Neil of North Bay, ON had the round of the day after he fired a second round 66 to have a two day total of 139. Neil played the back nine five under par to secure him the clubhouse lead heading into the third round. Jonathan Cramton from Toronto, ON continued his good form as he shot another even par round of 72 to have a two day total of 144, good enough for second place. Rounding out the top three are first round leaders Ben Miles and Max Dragon of Ottawa, ON who both shot 74 to have tournament totals of 146. Logan Hawke of Oakville, ON had the biggest move of the day as he was able to have a two under round of 70 to move him into the top ten entraining the third round.

Junior Girls U19

Tiana Cruz from Richmond Hill, ON continues to lead the Junior Girls division at Greenhills. Cruz posted a second round score of 80 to give her a two day total of 157, which is good enough for a five shot lead heading into Thursday’s third round. Round of the day in the division belonged to Vaijayanti Bharkhada of Brampton, ON who fired a division low 75. Bharkhada’s second round 75 gives her a two day total of 162. Kacey Walker of Mississauga, ON rounds out the top three after she posted a second round 87 which gives her a two day total of 170.

Bantam Boys U15

The Bantam Boys division remains tight at the top of the leaderboard after Wednesday’s second round. Blainville, Quebec’s own Jordan Dumont leads the division after shooting 77 during his second round. Dumont has a two day total of 156 which gives him a one shot lead over first round leader, Christian Leduc. Innisfil, ON native Leduc posted a 81 during the second round which brings his two day total to 157. Dayton Price of Mississauga, ON slots into the third position in the division after shooting 77 on Wednesday. Price is only four back of Dumont after having a two day total score of 160.

Bantam Girls U15

Sarah Gallagher from Burlington, ON was able to have a great bounce back round on Wednesday as she was able to climb the leaderboard after posting a 79. Gallagher’s two day total of 165 gives her a six shot lead entering the third round. Rozlyn Rooke of Milton, ON shot a 86 during the second round to improve her two day total to 171 which slots her into second place in the division. Rounding out the top three is Calista Zeng of Maple, ON after she posted a 91 during her second round. The division is still up for grabs as Zeng is only nine strokes behind Gallagher with two rounds left to go.
