Richmond Hill, ON (June 23, 2017) – The Canadian Junior Golf Association (CJGA) is pleased to announce the hiring of Reegan Price and Derek Davidson to the CJGA staff. Both Price and Davidson have numerous years of experience in the golf industry.
“We have hired two individuals that have a lot of experience and knowledge in the industry and both will be instrumental in the continued growth of the CJGA for years to come,” stated Earl Fritz, CJGA Founder and Executive Director.
Price will take over as Director, Tournament Operations with the CJGA and comes with over 20 years experience in the golf industry, including nearly a decade with Mackenzie Tour – PGA TOUR Canada (formerly Canadian Tour). Holding the positions of Manager, Tournament Affairs and Director of Tournament Operations for the former Canadian Tour, Price moved to Director, Tournament Operations & Player Relations for the Mackenzie Tour – PGA TOUR Canada for the 2013-2014 seasons. Reegan also brings additional experience in event management spent time in event management and experiential marketing through roles with the Niagara Sport Commission and SDI Marketing.
“I am extremely excited to be joining the CJGA and look forward to bringing my knowledge and experience to the team,” said Price. “I know how important of an association the CJGA is for the growth of the game in this country and I can’t wait to be a part of that.”
Davidson joins the association as Director, Membership Services & Tour Operations. Coming to the team with a multitude of skills, Davidson has spent numerous hours on the golf course as a professional caddie and avid golfer himself. To compliment his golfing experiences and knowledge, Davidson’s experience in the corporate world on the customer service side will enhance the CJGA’s overall member services and member experience with the CJGA.
“I am excited to join the CJGA team and have the chance to work with a world leader in junior golf,” Davidson said. “I have a strong passion for the game of golf, and an even stronger passion for the youth and the growth of the game. I could not be happier to be joining the team and continuing to provide opportunities for the juniors golfers in this country.”
Davidson has already started in his role at the CJGA Head Office while Price begins his tenure with the CJGA effective June 26, 2017.
