Pugwash, NS (June 2, 2017) – The Canadian Junior Golf Association is excited to head to Northumberland Links Golf Club this weekend to host another Nike Golf Junior Series event. The event will see juniors from across Nova Scotia and New Brunswick duke it out to be crowned champion. This is the third CJGA event on the Eastern Canada swing this summer.
The course at Northumberland over looks the stunning Northumberland Strait which makes the course one of the most picturesque and challenging layouts in Nova Scotia. Juniors should not look past the shorter yardage on the score card because the course provides well-placed bunkers, rolling fairways and lightning fast greens to make it a tough test but also enjoyable experience. The ocean scenery and landscape creates an amazing atmosphere at Northumberland, where come Sunday a champion will be crowned.
There is a slight chance of showers this weekend at Pugwash, so juniors should prepare accordingly. Winds should remain low but can always be a factor at Northumberland. Temperatures should stay in-between 10-15 degrees this weekend.
This tournament will be a qualifier for the FCG Callaway World Championship which is being hosted in California in July. This event will be officially ranked by Golf Canada, Junior Golf Scoreboard and Nova Scotia Golf Association.
