Richmond Hill, Ont. (April 19, 2017) – The Canadian Junior Golf Association is pleased to announce a new partnership for the 2017 season with the Niagara College PGM program. This year represents milestone year for both the CJGA and Niagara College, celebrating 25 and 50 years in operation, respectively.
The partnership will see the Niagara College PGM program become the presenting sponsor of the CJGA’s kick-off event at Peninsula Lakes Golf Club in Fenwick, Ontario.
“We could not be happier to support the CJGA as the presenting sponsor of their season opening event in Ontario” stated Grant Fraser, Niagara College PGM Program Coordinator. “The CJGA is leading the way in promoting the game of golf to juniors, and doing so in the Niagara Region is extremely important to the College and the students in the golf management program at Niagara.”
In 2016, the Niagara College varsity golf team won the provincial and national golf championships. The majority of the team is comprised of Professional Golf Management students, two of which were provincial and national individual champions.
“We are very pleased to have the support of the PGM program at Niagara College” said Brad Parkins, COO of the CJGA. “Niagara College is an important institution in the Niagara Region and to be able to bring awareness to the school and it’s programs at the same time as promoting junior golf in the Region is a win-win.”
The event gets underway this Saturday and Sunday, April 22 & 23 at Peninsula Lakes Golf Club and will feature support materials from the Niagara College PGM program.
