-TaylorMade assumes Official Golf Ball status; Presenting Sponsor of CJGA National OOM-

Richmond Hill, Ont. (January 17, 2017) – The Canadian Junior Golf Association (CJGA) is pleased to announce the signing of a new partnership with TaylorMade-adidas Golf for 2017.  The new partnership will see TaylorMade take on Official Golf Ball status with its TP5 and TP5x golf ball.  TaylorMade also becomes the presenting sponsor of the CJGA National Order of Merit, a season long race that identifies the top talent across the country.

“TaylorMade Golf Canada is honoured to partner with the CJGA and continue to support junior golf across Canada”, said David Bradley, General Manager, TaylorMade-adidas Golf Canada. “It will be exciting to watch the best junior golfers in Canada compete during the season-long Order of Merit race and strengthen our connection with the game’s next generation.”

As the official golf ball, CJGA members will receive the newest addition to the TaylorMade golf ball family.  The TaylorMade TP5 and TP5x, the same golf balls played by TaylorMade athletes including the world’s top ranked golfer, Jason Day, will be handed out across the country to CJGA tournament participants.

“The commitment TaylorMade has to junior golf is undeniable and we are delighted to bring an industry leader into our family of partners as we forge ahead to showcase the talented youth of our country to the world” acknowledged Brad Parkins, Chief Operations Officer of the CJGA.  “TaylorMade’s desire to get their innovative and Tour tested product into the hands of Canada’s juniors through our program aligns with their overall junior golf strategy and we are pleased to be the Canadian leaders in that regard.”

The CJGA National Order of Merit, presented by TaylorMade is a season-long race.  Each division winner of the OOM will receive a custom TaylorMade prize pack.  Mirrored after the PGA TOUR’s FedEx Cup, the CJGA National Order of Merit presented by TaylorMade is comprised of the entire tournament schedule where juniors compete nationally in their respective age divisions.  Tiered events on a national scope provide equal opportunity for juniors to accumulate points.  Events are tiered based on field size, strength of field, and length of competition to name a few.
