Turner Valley, AB. (September 19, 2016) – The Canadian Junior Golf Association Junior Tour was held at Turner Valley, this past weekend. The field was strong, but ultimately it was Zander Park, Kai Iguchi, Taylor Stone, Carson Rody and Tillie Claggett, who persevered and were crowned champions in their respective divisions.

Junior Boys Division (U19)
Zander Park 17, from Calgary, AB was the Junior Boys division winner. Park played two impressive low rounds, posting scores of 73 (+1), 78 (+6), for a two-day total of 151 (+7).
Landon Stellingwerff, 18 from Calgary, AB took home second place. Stellingwerff posted rounds of 81, 86, for a two-day total of 167.
Juvenile Boys Division (U17)
Kai Iguchi, 15, from Banff, AB was the Juvenile Boys division winner. Iguchi made a total of 5 birdies over the course of the tournament, edging out his closest competitor by one stroke. Iguchi posted rounds of 78 (+6), 80 (+8), for a two-day total of 158.
It was a close finish between Kai and our second place recipient, Ben Wong. The 15 year old from Calgary, AB posted rounds of 82, 77 (+5), for a two-day total of 159.
Juvenile Girls Division (U17)
Taylor Stone, 16, from Calgary, AB and winner of the Juvenile Girls division. Stone finished her first round with an eagle on the 18th hole, and went on to start round two with a birdie. Stone posted rounds of 80, 83, for a two-day total of 163.
Finishing the tournament just one stroke behind the leader was Samantha Copeland. The 16 year old, from Calgary, AB, posted rounds of 81, 83, for a two-day total of 164 and second place.
Bantam Boys (U15)
Carson Rody, 14, from Calgary, AB won the Bantam Boys division. Rody was able to pull out a low score after the second round that put him in the first place position. Rody posted rounds of 80 (+8), 75 (+3), for a two-day total of 155.
Richard Dou, 14, from Calgary, AB finished 2 strokes behind the leader in second place. Dou posted rounds of 77 (+5), 80 (+8), for a two-day total of 157.
Bantam Girls (U15)
Tillie Claggett, 12, from Calgary, AB was the winner of the Bantam Girls division. Claggett made 3 birdies during the second round, helping her jump 5 strokes ahead of her closest competitors and earn herself first place. Claggett posted rounds of 88, 81, for a two-day total of 169.
Tying for second place were Stephanie Chelack, 14, from Calgary AB and MacKenzie Baustad, also 14, from Calgary, AB. Chelack posted rounds of 87, 87, while Baustad posted rounds of 85, 89, for a two-day total of 174.
