Brampton, Ont., (July 20, 2016) – The Canadian Junior Golf Association Linkster Tour will take off at Turnberry Golf Club in Brampton, Ontario. Linkster golfers will compete against each other in eight separate divisions, in what is sure to be a truly unique golf experience.

Opened in 2009 and designed by the creators of Eagles Nest Golf Club, Doug Carrick and Cam Tyers, Turnberry is unique for being an 18 hole course at only 3,200 yards long, from the tips. The facility features 16 par 3s and two par 4s, but many of these holes match the difficulty of those offered by larger courses. Special care has been taken to make the greens both large and intriguing. Undoubtedly, junior golfers will be up for a fun challenge while trying to navigate around these contoured greens.

Freedom 55 Financial and the Canadian Junior Golf Association will be hosting a free golf clinic prior to the first tee-time at Turnberry Golf Club. The clinic will be hosted by Yuvish Singh, who currently holds the course record at Turnberry. The focus of the clinic will be on green reading, and chipping. Freedom 55 Clinics for Kids gets underway at 11:30am on the putting green at Turnberry Golf Club.
