Milton, Ont. (June 27, 2016) – We saw an impressive showing from the Canadian Junior Golf Association (CJGA) Linkster Tour golfers this weekend. Luke Smith was the Clubhouse Leader after ending the round 5 strokes under par. The field of golfers competed on the Rattler Course at the Rattlesnake Point Golf Club in Milton, Ont.

Novice Boys Division (U9)

Luke Smith, 8, from Toronto, Ont., birdied five out of nine holes, giving him a round total of 30 (-5). Smith ended the tournament in first place for the Novice Boys division and the overall lowest score.

Manav Bharani, 7, of Brampton, Ont., and Josh Ye, 7, from Markham, Ont., played a close game with both finishing the round with totals of 33 (-2) to share the second place position.

Novice Girls Division (U9)

Lindsay McGrath, 8, from Oakville, Ont., earned first place with back-to-back birdies and a round total 37, two strokes over par.

Sophie Weber, 8, from Burlington, Ont., was the runner up for the Novice Girls division after she posted a round total of 53.

Atom Boys Division (U11)

Sai Aadi Ganju, 10, of Oakville, Ont., kept it low, ending the round with a total of 33 (+5), to earn first place for the Atom Boys division.

Sharing second place was Matthew Javier, 9, from Toronto, Ont., and Jeremy Lewis, 9, from Stouffville, Ont. Both boys finished their round with totals of 34 (+6) in the Atom Boys division.

Atom Girls Division (U11)

Karolyn Zeng, 10, from Maple, Ont., finished in first place with a round total of 40.

Coming in a stroke behind Zeng was, Alexa Ouellet, 9, from Toronto, Ont. Ouellet finished with a round total 40 and the runner-up position.

Peewee Boys Division (U13)

Avery Mahoney, 11, from Burlington, Ont., and Bradley Parker, 11, of Toronto, Ont., finished their rounds with matching scores of 30 (+2). Mahoney and Parker entered a playoff round where Mahoney was declared the Peewee Boys division winner.

Peewee Girls Division (U13)

Victoria Zheng, 12, from Markham, Ont., took home the first place position last weekend in the Peewee Girls division. Zheng posted a round total of 32 (+4).

Michelle Ding, 10, from Toronto, Ont., and Ella Weber, 10, from Burlington, Ont., shared scores of 34 (+6) to share the second place position for the Peewee Girls Division.

Bantam Boys Division (U15)

Jaden Raad, 13, from Mississauga, Ont., earned the first place position, but only after a playoff round with SeHyeon, Yi, 13, of Aurora, Ont. Both boys finished the round with totals of 34 (+6).

Bantam Girls Division (U15)

Claire Hwang, 14, from Maple, Ont., took home first place after posting a round total of 32 (+4).

Maya Cote, 13, from Oakville, Ont., was awarded second place with a round total of 42.
