Carstairs, Alta. (June 20, 2016) – Annabelle Ackroyd earned her fourth win in a row this weekend at the Big Chief Beef Jerky Tournament on the CJGA Junior Tour. Both of the Canadian Junior Golf Association Junior and Linkster Tours took place at Carstairs Golf Club this weekend.

Junior Tour

Juvenile Girls Division (U17)

Annabelle Ackroyd, 14, from Calgary, Alta., has made her presence known this year on the CJGA Junior Tour. Ackroyd fired rounds of 79 (+7), 77 (+5) for a tournament total of 156 and the Juvenile Girls winning title, defending her winning streak by adding a fourth win.

Taylor Stone, 16, from Calgary, Alta., was suitable competition as she kept pace with Ackroyd. After firing rounds of 79 (+7), 80 (+8) for a tournament total of 159, Stone fell short and took home the runner-up position.

Juvenile Boys Division (U17)

Max Murchison, 16, from Calgary, Alta., dominated the Juvenile Boys division. Murchison pared the course with rounds of 73 (+1), 71 (-1), for a tournament total of 144.

Six shots over par, Korbin Allan, 16, from Strathmore, Alta., took home second place with rounds of 71 (-1), 79 (+7) for a two-day total of 150.

Junior Girls Division (U19)

Sharmaine Rapisura, 17, from Calgary, Alta., has proven her skills as she adds another win to her to her resume. Rapisura posted rounds of 76 (+4), 78 (+6) for a weekend total of 154.

Kenna Hughes, 18, from Calgary, Alta., came close but finished second place after carding round of 77 (+5), 78 (+6) giving her a two-day total of 156.

Junior Boys Division (U19)

Max Sekulic, 16, from Rycroft, Alta., and member of the Junior America’s Cup team finished the weekend with a total of 5 birdies and rounds of 72 (E), 79 (+7) for a tournament total of 151. Sekulic took home the winning title for the Junior Boys division.

Matt Campbell, 17, of Calgary, Alta., posted rounds of 75 (+3), 79 (+7), for a tournament total of 154 and the second place position.

Bantam Girls Division (U15)

MacKenzie Baustad, 13, of Calgary, Alta., carded rounds of 84, 83 for a two-round total of 167.

Tillie Claggett, 12 from Calgary, Alta., took home second place after carding rounds of 89, 85 giving her a two-day total of 174.

Bantam Boys Division (U15)

Rory Huycke, 13, from Calgary, Alta., fired rounds of 75 (+3), 71 (-1) making it memorable  moment as he posted his first under par score in the second round. Huycke was the Bantam Boys division winner with a tournament total of 146.

Carson Rody, 13, from Calgary, Alta., was awarded second place after posting rounds of 73 (+1) , 81 (+9) giving him a weekend total of 154.

Linkster Tour

Atom Boys Division (U11)

Native to Calgary, Alta., Jayden Brar, 9, was the Atom Boys division winner with a round total of 71 (-1).

Peyton Stahl, 9, of Priddis, Alta., was awarded the second place position after posting a round total of 92.

Atom Girls Division (U11)

Jayla Kucy, 10, of Camrose, Alta., took home the winning title for the Atom Girls division with a long lead over her opponent. Kucy ended the round with a total of 87, while Mya Foord, 9, from Airdrie, Alta., took second with a round total of 144.

Bantam Boys Division (U15)

Zachary Walker, 14, from Forestburg, Alta., was the Bantam Boys division winner with a round total of 88.

Peewee Boys Division (U13)

Cole Bergheim, 12, from Red Deer, Alta., and Alexander Gerrard, 12, from Red Deer Country, Alta., both finished the round with totals of 83. The two entered a playoff round where Bergheim was awarded the winning title for the Peewee Boys division.

Peewee Girls Division (U13)

Georgia Barr, 11, from Calgary, Alta., was the winner of the Peewee Girls division after posting a round total of 86.

Following Barr was Brio Hempstead, 11, from Banff, Alta., who pulled into second place after carding a round total of 124.

Novice Boys Division (U9)

Jalen Apedoe, 7, from Calgary, Alta., was the Novice Boys division winner with a round total of 38 (+2).

Grady Anaka, 6, from Sherwood Park, Alta., carded a round total of 40 (+4) giving him the second place position.
