Calgary, Alta. (June 9, 2016) – An important weekend of golf is upon us. Across Alberta and British Columbia, Junior and Linkster Tour golfers will be competing for the opportunity to represent Team Canada West at the U.S Kids & Teen Golf World Championships. Also up for grabs for Junior tour golfers is the opportunity to represent Team Canada West in the Junior America’s cup.This weekend in Calgary, Alta., the CJGA Junior and Linkster Tour golfers will compete at Fox Hollow Golf Course.
The US Kids Golf World Championship is truly unique with a total field size exceeding 1000 golfers over the last four years. This event includes most US states and over 20 countries from around the world represented. The five-day tournament format includes: opening and closing ceremonies, practice rounds, a three-day tournament as well as other activities.
One of Western Canada’s most unique golfing venues, Fox Hollow in Calgary features a 6494 yard par 70 course, a short game practice facility and a domed “all-season” 50 stall driving range. This year-round environment offers lessons to accommodate golfers from the beginner to the advanced. Golfers can learn the finer points of the game, or work on what hinders their game. With competitive rates, it has become one of the finest full-service golf centres in Calgary.
