Caledon, Ont. (May 24, 2016) – Canadian Junior Golf Association golfers competed in the Nike Golf Junior Series at Caledon Woods Golf Club in Caledon Ontario this past weekend. Players went competed to earn an exemption to the Nike Golf Junior Championship, given to division winners. The championship tournament will be held in Ontario later in the summer. CJGA Junior Tour golfer, Braydon White, stole the show after ending the weekend with a two-round score of two over par.

Junior Boys Division (U19)

 Barrie, Ont., native Braydon White, 18, ended the weekend with a win of the Junior Boys division. Firing rounds of 71 (E), 73 (+2) for a tournament total of 144, White played consistently good golf.

A stroke behind in the second place position was Minwoo Park, 18, from Toronto, Ont., carding rounds of 74 (+3), 71 (E) for a two-day total of 145.

Junior Girls Division (U19)

Natasha Stasiuk, 17, from Oakville, Ont., was awarded the title for the Junior Girls division. Stasiuk put up rounds of 88, 90 for a weekend total of 178.

Ciara Costabile, 18, from Ayr, Ont., ended the weekend in second place with rounds of 103, 95 for a tournament total of 198.

Juvenile Boys Division (U17)

Parker Lee, 15, from Oro Medonte, Ont., ended the tournament with a three-stroke lead to claim the Juvenile Boys division. Aided by two second-round birdies, Lee carded rounds of 74 (+3), 74 (+3) for a weekend total of 148.

Andrew Gognavec, 15, from Parry Sound, Ont., who sank an eagle on the seventh hole of the second round, finished the weekend with rounds of 73 (+2), 78 (+7) for a tournament total of 151. Gognavec shared the second place position with Ishira Fernando, 16, from Hamilton, Ont., who carded rounds of 72 (+1), 79 (+8) for a two-day total of 151.

Juvenile Girls Division (U17)

Kacey Walker, 16, from Mississauga, Ont., was crowned the winner of the Juvenile Girls division, posting rounds of 100, 85, for a weekend total of 185.

Oakville, Ont., native Logan Hackett, 15, finished a close second with rounds of 95, and 93, giving her a tournament total of 188.

Bantam Boys Division (U15)

Kavith Ranchagoda, 13, from Richmond Hill Ont., played a strong final round with three birdies giving him a tournament total of 153. Ranchagoda’s strong play continued into the playoff for the division title against Connor Munro of Etobicoke, Ont. The two battled it out in a two-hole playoff with Ranchagoda eventually coming out on top.

Bantam Girls Division (U15)

Madelin Boyd, 12, from Oshawa, Ont., had a strong game in both rounds leading to a Bantam Girls division win. Boyd carded matching rounds of 75, giving her a tournament total of 150.

Jue Wen, 14, from North York, Ont., took second place with rounds of 84, 86 for a two-day total of 170.
