Bondhead, Ont. (May 27, 2016) – This weekend will be the first event in the Georgian College Junior Series for the Canadian Junior Golf Association (CJGA) Junior Tour. This is the first year that CJGA has partnered with Georgian College to create a junior golf series for the CJGA Junior Tour. CJGA golfers will head to Bondhead, Ont., to play at the Club at Bond Head. Division winners will have the opportunity to earn an exemption to represent CJGA Team Canada at the IMG Academy Junior World Golf Championships.

The San Diego County Junior Golf Association was founded on the principle of serving young people, in the hope that by doing so today’s youth will have a better chance of creating the world we all want. The Junior World Tournament is an international extension of that principle. Since 1968, the Junior World Golf Championships is truly unique with a total field size exceeding 1000 golfers from an impressive number of countries and states. Many Junior World Champions have gone on to enjoy successful careers on the PGA and LPGA Tours including: Notah Begay, Ernie Els, Phil Mickelson, Corey Pavin, Pat Perez, Nick Price, David Toms, and Tiger Woods. The Junior World Golf Championships is unique for its international representation and cultural diversity.

The Club at Bond Head offers the ultimate golf experience just minutes west of Highway 400, a few kilometers north of Aurora, Ont. Two magnificent courses, designed by the renowned firm of Hurdzan-Fry, are presided over by a palatial clubhouse.

The South Course is links-style, with wide fairways, gaping bunkers and fescue roughs. The parkland-style North Course features dramatic elevation changes, spectacular vistas and small contoured greens.
