Caledon, Ont. (May 20, 2016) –The Nike Golf Junior Series will be back in Ontario this weekend. Canadian Junior Golf Association (CJGA) Junior Tour golfers will have another chance to earn an exemption to the Nike Golf Junior Championship, given to division winners. Championship tournament will be held in Ontario, later in the summer.

Considered among one of the top national junior events in Canada, the Nike Golf Junior Championship is an event like no other on the CJGA schedule.  This winners-only event brings together the division winners from the 8 event Nike Golf Junior Series from across Canada to compete in the 9th final championship event.

Caledon Woods is a scenic, inspiring walk in the pastoral hills and valleys of the Caledon countryside just north of Toronto. Architect Paul Takahashi kept the classic parkland character intact but introduced links-style elements with tight lies and crowns around engaging greens—among the region’s best—that have a wide range of slope and contour.

Given the heaving Caledon landscape, uneven fairway lies are common and there are some challenging tee shots where moving the ball to fit the hole provides you with an advantage. Although not long at 6,415 yards, most holes let you grip it and rip it.
