Vancouver, B.C. (March 31, 2016) – The Canadian Junior Golf Association (CJGA) is set to conduct the annual CJGA BC Junior Open at University Golf Club in Vancouver, BC this weekend. A very deep group of junior golfers from across Western Canada will be competing for division titles as well as the opportunity to represent their country at the Junior World Golf Championships in San Diego later this July.

New to this year’s tournament is sponsor Pacific Rim Intercollegiate Golf Camp (PRIG) whom will assume the presenting role for the tournament. Juniors will receive an official welcome package from PRIG as well as an opportunity to attend a college scholarship seminar on Sunday. “PRIG is very excited to partner with the CJGA and to provide this unique experience to the CJGA membership” said Taronne Atley, PRIG Director of Instructor. “We have a great lineup of speakers for Sunday’s seminar. Parents and juniors will receive the latest information on scholarships.”

The University Golf Club is a public golf club located in the heart of the Pacific Spirit Park and the University Endowment Lands in the city of Vancouver. Having been around since 1929, University Golf Club is a traditional course with long, narrow fairways and towering old growth trees.

About Pacific Rim Intercollegiate Golf Camp

The Pacific Rim Intercollegiate Golf Camp (PRIG) is a junior golf camp hosted at the Kingswan Country Club located in Changzhou Shi, China, about 2.5 hours from Shanghai. This inaugural camp will feature all 8 IVY League coaches, Northwestern and Duke University. Enjoy a week long camp – bringing the west to the east and the east to the west.
