-Orange County National’s Crooked Cat Course will test full field of juniors-

Tournament Information / First Round Pairings

Winter Garden, FL (March 17, 2016) – Junior golfers from around the world are arriving at the beautiful Orange County National Golf Center & Lodge in Winter Garden, FL for the CJGA Spring Break Junior International presented by Core Golf Academy.

Hosting the CJGA for the first time in the event’s five year history, Orange County National’s Crooked Cat course will prove a strong test to the international field. Over 70 juniors from 16 countries will be welcomed to one of the top ranked public facilities in the United States and the home of the Core Golf Academy.

Returning for a fifth year as presenting partner of this event, Core is a full residential golf academy designed to prepare young golfers for success in junior golf, collegiate golf and beyond. With the event taking place in their own backyard, competing juniors will see first-hand the first-class facilities, coaching, and programming Core has to offer to its students.

Featuring significant elevation changes, rolling fairways and large, contoured greens, the Crooked Cat course has played host to final stages of Q-school for both the PGA TOUR and Champions Tour. But with fewer trees, wider landing areas, native heather and mounding framing the fairways, Crooked Cat presents golfers more of a links-style look. It may well be the most naturally beautiful Orlando Florida golf course.

In the summer of 2012 Orange County National completed a successful renovation of Crooked Cats greens using the highly regarded Champions Bermuda Ultra Dwarf Turf Grass.

Tournament play gets underway at 10:00am on Saturday and will conclude on Sunday with the final round teeing off at 11am.
