Richmond Hill, ON (September 25, 2015) – Warm temperatures and sunny weather greeted all players this weekend at Rolling Hills Golf Club.  The great weather created favourable course conditions, and spectators were treated with superb play from all players.

Final Tournament Results: CJGA Ontario Fall Series at Bethesda Grange presented by Bushnell

Boys 15-19
Zachary Greifenberger of Toronto, ON took advantage of the favourable scoring conditions over the weekend on his way to claiming a one-shot victory.  Greifenberger shot rounds of 75 (+3) and 74 (+2), for a tournament total of 149 (+5).  “I thought I played really well this weekend.  My iron game was very solid and I was able to hit a lot of greens,” said Greifenberger when asked about his strengths this weekend.  “The key to my victory was that I was able to maintain my composure all weekend.”  In second place was Ryan Neil of North Bay, ON.  Neil was the only player to break par all weekend, shooting a one-under round (71) on Sunday to narrowly finish in second place.

Boys 14 & Under
Coming into Sunday, only six strokes separated first place from fifth.  Many of the competitors had a chance to win the tournament heading into the final nine holes, but Eric Byun of Richmond Hill, ON outlasted the field.  Byun shot a tournament total 149 (+5) to claim a one-stroke victory.  “With a lot of good players close together coming into today, I just wanted to play my own game.  I though I drove the ball well this weekend and had good distance control with my irons.”  In second place was Jack Sue of Richmond Hill, ON.  Sue recorded his first career hole-in-one on hole #13, with a six iron from 162 yards away.  Sue finished with a tournament total of 150 (+6).

Girls 15-19
Alisa Berindea of Richmond Hill, ON was the lone player in the division.  Berindea shot a tournament total 186.

Girls 14 & Under
Emily Zhu of Richmond Hill, ON opened up a sizeable lead after a round one score of even-par (72).  Zhu was able to maintain this lead, and finished with a tournament total of 154 (+10).  When asked about her win Zhu had this to say, “I am happy with the win, especially with how I played on the first day.  My ball striking and putting carried me this weekend.

Boys 11-13
Andrew Gwilliams of Bradford, ON and Will Bellamy of Perth, ON were the only players to break 70 in this division.  Gwilliams was able to capture a two-stroke victory over Bellamy after a round of 67 (+2).  Three strokes behind Bellamy were Hunter Fielding of Perth, ON and Yutaka Nohdomi of Toronto, ON.  Both players shot rounds of 72 (+7).

Boys 9-10
With six birdies on the day, Andre Zhu of Richmond Hill, ON captured his eighth win of the season.  Zhu shot an even-par round (72).  After a rough start, Joseph Sciortino of Richmond Hill, ON was able to play his final nine holes in only 2-over par, on his way to a second place finish.  Sciortino shot a round of 81 (+9).

Boys 8 & Under
Jordan Hwang of Richmond Hill, ON saved his best effort for the last CJGA Linkster tournament of the fall.  Hwang birdied seven of nine holes on Saturday to shoot a round of 7-under par (30), on his way to his ninth win of the season.  In a three-way tie for second place were Jager Pain of Richmond Hill, ON, Matthew Simpson of Toronto, ON, and Jacob Spurr of Mississauga, ON.  All three players shot rounds of one-over par (38).

Girls 10-13
After claiming victory earlier in the season on the Classic Course at Rolling Hills Golf Club, Elaine Giantsopoulos of Richmond Hill, ON was able to repeat the feat on Saturday.  Giantsopoulos shot a round of 78 (+6), besting her winning score from earlier in the season by one stroke.  Only two strokes behind was Jia An of North York, ON, claiming second place with a round of 80 (+8).

Girls 9 & Under
Angela (Yiting) Wang of Markham, ON shot a score of 43 (+6) on her way to claiming first place on Saturday.  Carlee Meilleur of Landsdowne, ON finished in second place.
