Hawkesbury, On (May 14, 2015) – Top junior golfers from Quebec and Eastern Ontario will gather at the 5th annual CJGA Quebec Junior Open at Hawkesbury Golf and Curling Club in Hawkesbury, Ontario. Juniors will battle for exemptions in several international events as well as points for the Golf Quebec’s Order of Merit and CJGA’s National Order of Merit.
The CJGA Quebec Junior Open is an invitation only event that recognizes top junior golfers in the province of Quebec and Eastern Ontario. The Canadian Junior Golf Association in partnership with Golf Quebec conducts the event, to give exceptional junior golfers in Quebec and Eastern Ontario the opportunity to develop and showcase their competitive skills at the highest level of tournament golf. Exclusive to the Quebec Junior Open, divisional champions will receive a covenant spot on CJGA Team Canada at the IMG Academy Junior World Golf Championships in San Diego, California.

Built in 1967, Hawkesbury Golf & Curling Club offers a challenging golf outing to all levels of players. The mature, tree-lined fairways and difficult, elevated greens are trademarks of this course that has a reputation of playing much harder than its length indicates.
The weather forecast is looking favourable for the junior golfers with temperatures projected to be in the low twenties.
