-Second of Eight Nike Golf Junior Series events nationally set for weeken
Richmond Hill, Ont. (April 24, 2015) – ClubLink’s Caledon Woods Golf Club in Bolton, Ont. is preparing to welcome a full field of juniors over the weekend as the Canadian Junior Golf Association (CJGA) Nike Golf Junior Series is set to play April 25-26. The event is the second of eight national Nike Golf Junior Series events which culminate in the Nike Golf Junior Championship at the end of the season.
Caledon Woods is a scenic, inspiring walk in the pastoral hills and valleys of the Caledon countryside just north of Toronto. Opened in 2003, Caledon Woods replaced the 27-hole Bolton Golf Club, so it delivers modern features and top conditions in the mature surroundings of a grand old club.
Architect Paul Takahashi kept the classic parkland character intact but introduced links-style elements with tight lies and crowns around engaging greens—among the region’s best—that have a wide range of slope and contour.
The character of the clubhouse fits the rural setting. It sits atop the highest point on the property and invites you in for an after-round drink or for Sunday brunch. The large patio also beckons, offering scenic views of the lovely Caledon Hills.
The combination of natural beauty and shot-making challenge provides Caledon Woods with the charm of a grand old club but everything you expect for 21st Century golf.
The event is the second CJGA event in the province to date with the first event showcasing exemplary play in challenging conditions. With the exception of a cool forecast Saturday morning, the forecasted conditions during play are in double digits and sunny.
A strong field of juniors will take to the course on the weekend competing for their divisional titles and a coveted invitation to the Nike Golf Junior Championship. Some juniors to keep an eye on are Robbie Latter (14), Peter Blazevic (11), Eli Mathew (14), Thomas Giroux (16), Matthew Anderson (15), Zack Mason (15) and Andrew Russ (18).

March 21 – First Round – 12noon – 2:32pm (first tee)
March 22 – Final Round – 12noon – 2:32pm (first tee)
