St. Andrew’s Valley Kicks Off Greg Norman Champions Golf Academy Series
Aurora, ON (May 19, 2017) – The Canadian Junior Golf Association (CJGA) is proud to host the Greg Norman Champions Golf Academy Series event this weekend at St. Andrew’s Valley in Aurora, ON. This tournament will see juniors from across Ontario tee it up and try to claim victory on the long weekend.
St. Andrew’s Valley is a combination of a challenging but then fun course with the creative hole design on their stunning land shape. The course has bent grass fairways and USGA spec greens which makes St. Andrew’s Valley one of the highest rate courses not only in Ontario but in all of Canada. Each hole on the course has it’s own personality with the beautiful ground shaping, bunkers and fairways.
Players will be golfing in decent weather conditions this weekend in Aurora. With the weather forecast predicting temperatures in-between 14 to 20 degrees for the weekend. Saturday there will be a mix of sun and clouds while Sunday may see a chance of rain, only amounting to 10-15mm.
This tournament will act as a qualifier for the 15th annual North America Cup hosted at Weston Golf & Country Club in Toronto from July 9-12. The North America Cup is a Ryder Cup style tournament which sees Team Canada take on Team USA, an event that Rickie Fowler played in for Team USA back in 2003.
