CJGA Amateur Tour – For Men & Ladies Ages 19-24

About the Amateur Tour

The CJGA Amateur Tour is a competitive developmental tour for Amateur Men and Ladies of all skill levels, 19-24 years of age, who have desires to build a resume for higher level competitions or just to test their skills.

The amateur tour consists primarily of a series two-day (36 hole), three-day competitions or four-day competition held through the weekends in the spring & fall and on weekdays during the summer months. 

The CJGA Amateur Tour will be played on the same place and days as the Junior Tour. When registering, just click on the tournament and register. Our online system will enter you in the proper age group.

Events are conducted in regions all across Canada and participants earn points on both the GOLFTEC Regional & GOLFTEC National Order’s of Merit based on their finish in each event.  In addition to the standard 36 hole competitions the CJGA Amateur Tour conducts a number of Regional & National Championships which consist of both three-day (54 hole) & four-day (72) hole competitions.

Amateur Tour events are organized and operated with the utmost level of professionalism by trained CJGA Staff. Each event is officiated by certified Rules Officials. 

Amateur Tour events are recognized by numerous national & international ranking organizations and are viewed as a great measure of a players capabilities by colleges & universities in the United States and Canada.

The goal of the CJGA Amateur Tour is to provide you (the Amateur) with the best experience possible in your development as player as you pursue your passion for the game.  Whether your goal be to secure a scholarship to a University or College or to prepare yourself for the Canadian or U.S. Amateur Championships or even the PGA Tours, we aim to provide you with the best place possible to develop your skills.

There are two (2) divisions on the CJGA Amateur Tour which are determined by a players age & gender.

Gender Division Age Range Yardages Played
Men Amateur (U24) 19 to 24 6400 to 7000
Ladies Amateur (U24) 19 to 24 5000 to 6200

Eligibility: A players age is determined as of August 1, 2021.

Playing Up: Junior age players may request to participate in an older age group for an event by contacting the CJGA head office. 

GOLFTEC NATIONAL ORDER OF MERIT CJGA Amateur Tour events will also award points on the GOLFTEC National Order of Merit based on our Tier ranking system which can found – Here

GOLFTEC REGIONAL ORDER OF MERIT CJGA Amateur Tour events will also award points on the GOLFTEC Regional Order of Merit for the region which the event is held.
