Throughout the winter months, Canadians across the country struggle to maintain their swings with the absence of golf, and therefore turn to indoor hitting ranges and simulators to keep their games idle before the seasons starts again in the spring. The CJGA Winter Leagues powered by TrackMan technology not only satisfies ones need to play golf throughout the winter but does so in a way that allows participants to maintain their competitive spirit as well.

The CJGA Winter Leagues combines the two things Canadian golfers want most in the winter months with the best golf simulator on the market, TrackMan. At CJGA Winter Leagues all participants will compete in CJGA facilitated tournaments utilizing TrackMan technology at top-end courses around the world. As we get set to begin our inaugural CJGA Winter Leagues season starting Halloween weekend, October 30th – 31st, we would like to answer some of the frequently asked questions we have received.

Where will CJGA Winter Leagues take place?

CJGA Winter Leagues will be conducted at Polair Golf in Acton, Ontario. Official training facility of the CJGA and home to four TrackMan golf simulators, Polair Golf is a state-of-the-art facility that will be the hub for off-season CJGA training.

When will CJGA Winter Leagues take place?

CJGA Winter Leagues will occur every other weekend beginning October 30th – 31st, and span throughout the winter months. Each tournament will have a specific theme in correspondence with the date they take place on. Visit CJGA.onpar.golf for a complete schedule.

How will CJGA Winter Leagues be conducted?

Each participant will play one round of virtual golf at Polair utilizing TrackMan technology. Each tournament will be played at a different world-class course around the world that TrackMan offers, along with specific game modes for our Linkster Tournaments and skills competitions.

Each round will take approximately two hours to complete, along with a 30-minute warmup time. These will be conducted in twosomes. Tee time slots will be chosen on a first come first serve basis. Please stay tuned for an announcement for tee times in the near future.

Although TrackMan technology is one of the best in simulating a real golf round, there are still a few aspects that will differ from a traditional CJGA tournament since it is virtual. For example, each putt would be considered made when it comes within 8-feet of the hole. No player will actually have to putt out, but everything within 8-feet of the hole will be considered a one-putt. More rules and regulations will be communicated to the tournament field leading up to each Winter League event.

Are spectators allowed?

Yes, spectators will be allowed at CJGA Winter League events. To abide by public health COVID-19 guidelines, only one spectator will be permitted per player.

Do you have to be a CJGA Member to sign up?

No, one does not have to be a CJGA member to sign up for a CJGA Winter League event, nor will there be an additional fee for non-members of the CJGA to sign up.

What is the registration fee?

We will be offering CJGA Winter Leagues for a flat fee of $100 each tournament. This fee will go towards time at Polair, giveaways and prizing for the event. To register, please visit the official tournament pages at CJGA.onpar.golf
