Richmond Hill, ON (June 18, 2015) – The Canadian Junior Golf Association (CJGA) Junior Tour stops in at Bethesda Grange Golf Course this Saturday, June 20th for a one-day event. The CJGA Ontario Junior Series at Bethesda Grange is set to be a great event, with juniors looking to earn exemptions into CJGA national events, including the CJGA Mizuno National Junior Golf Championship and the CJGA PING Canadian Junior Match Play Championship.

Bethesda Grange Golf Course is located in Whitchurch-Stouffville, Ontario and belongs to the Clublink family of golf courses. It is located on the Rolling Hills Golf Club property, and recently received a renovation in 2012, where it was lengthened to almost 6,500 yards with bunkers reworked and greens and tee decks rebuilt.

Bethesda Grange Golf Course, not overly long by modern standards, nonetheless presents significant challenges in other ways. Many potential birdies can be thwarted by those new bunkers and closely mown collection areas around the greens, so course management is at a premium.

One notable hole, post-renovation, is the totally reworked par-3 fourth. At 190 yards from the back tees, the tee shot must carry a pond almost entirely from tee to green. A bail-out area on the left provides an escape for those who want to avoid the “watery grave.”

The weather forecast for Saturday calls for some great weather, with a high of 23 degrees in the afternoon and mainly sunny.
