Oakville, ON (May 11, 2015) The CJGA Linkster Tour conducted its second event of the season at Oakville Executive over the weekend where playoffs were a common theme. Three of the divisions were decided by a playoff, including the Boys 9-10, Boys 11-13 and Girls 10-13. Despite the call for severe weather conditions, the field of juniors provided a great deal of excitement and enjoyed a great day of golf at the Oakville facility.

Girls 9 & Under

Jia An added her second win of the season shooting a 41 this weekend. An had four pars on her scorecard, improving her score from last weekend’s event by three strokes. She now leads the CJGA Order of Merit in the Girls 9 & Under division by 325 points.

Girls 10-13

The Girls 10-13 division title came down to the wire needing a playoff to decide the victor. Elaine Giantsopoulos and Nyah Kelly both finished the tournament with solid rounds of 80 and moved on to extra holes. With the pressure of winning the tournament, Kelly was able to capitalize and won her first tournament of the season. Giantsopolous, finishing runner-up, took over top spot on the division’s Order of Merit opening the 2015 season with a win and runner-up finish.

Boys 8 & Under

Jordan Hwang of Richmond Hill, Ont. shot a 2-under par round on the weekend to capture the tournament title. He had four 4 birdies on his card over the nine holes played. Hwang won the division by three strokes over Cheho An who also had a strong showing shooting a 1-over par to finish runner-up. Hwang has now won both tournament that he has participated in this season in convincing fashion.

Boys 9-10

The Boys 9-10 division was full of excitement as extra holes were needed to determine a winner. Andre Zhu and Kevin Lee headed back onto the course after posting rounds of 70 at the end of 18 holes. Lee had a strong day but a double bogey on the 17^th hole took away his 2-stroke lead and the opportunity to take the win in regulation. In the playoff, it was Zhu that would capitalize on the opportunity, winning the playoff with a par.

Boys 11-13

The older boys division needed a playoff to settle things as Carlito Reyes and Thomas Latter both finished the tournament with scores of 70 (+7). After a birdie by Latter on the 17^th hole in regulation to push it to a playoff, it was Reyes that emerged victorious, his first tournament of the season
