First Round Tee Times

Abbotsford, B.C. (May 1, 2015) – Junior golfers are preparing themselves for the test that is Ledgeview Golf & Country Club as the Canadian Junior Golf Association (CJGA) moves in this weekend for a junior open event. The CJGA has partnered with British Columbia Golf Zone 3 for the weekend event that will see over 90 junior golfers play on Sunday.

Ledgeview Golf & Country Club features one of the most challenging and enjoyable 18 holes of golf in the Fraser Valley. The 18 hole championship layout, a Les Furber design, offers a challenging experience to golfers of every level. Praised for championship conditions, layout, and events, Ledgeview is truly a must play golf destination. Visitors will find that Ledgeview is always maintained in excellent condition.

It’s rolling fairways almost all play up or downhill and is framed by many beautiful trees. The pride of Ledgeview are its greens which hold approach shots well and are generally guarded by three or four bunkers. The club’s signature hole is also the toughest hole on the course, the par 3 8th hole. This hole plays downhill 216 yards to a narrow green protected by sand and water.

The weather forecast is looking favourable for the junior golfers with temperatures projected to be in the high teens both days.

The strong fields of juniors are sure to provide excitement over the two days of competition. Past CJGA winners to keep an eye on this weekend include A.J. Ewart, 15, of Coquitlam, B.C.; Yi Ji Lim, 17, of Langley; Sharon Park, 16, of Surrey; and Jake Scarrow, 18, of Dewdney.
