CJGA Atlantic Spring Classic Heads to Eagles Glenn of Cavendish

Cavendish, PEI (May 19, 2017) – The Canadian Junior Golf Association (CJGA) is excited to head to Prince Edward Island this weekend for the CJGA Atlantic Spring Classic being held at the picturesque Eagles Glenn of Cavendish. The CJGA Atlantic Spring Classic is a four day, three round event which kicks off on Friday night with a Clinic for Kids followed by a Skills Competition and BBQ.

Juniors will be faced with 18 challenging holes that are named after the 18 Scottish families that settled in the community of Cavendish. The Eagles Glenn of Cavendish provides golfers with the perfect balance between challenging holes and scenic views. Players will have to keep their focus from the panoramic view of the island while standing on the 18th tee as they will face water down the left hand side of the fairway, a hole that could ultimately determine the championship.

The weather for the weekend will be enjoyable for the juniors and spectators. With cooler temperatures hovering around 10 degrees for all three rounds, players will face mainly sunny skies throughout the long weekend. The windy conditions should die down during final round Monday which will give players close to the top of the leaderboard a chance to make a charge.

The CJGA Atlantic Spring Classic is a qualifier for multiple tournaments which includes the IMG Academy Junior World Golf Championship in San Diego, the Euro Junior Golf Cup in Scotland and AJGA/CJGA Junior Championships in Ontario.
