Canadian Junior Golf Association Extends TaylorMade Golf Canada as Program Partner for Three Years

-Increased Partnership will include Official Golf Ball; Presenting Sponsor of Order of Merit and Three Championship Events-

Richmond Hill, Ont. (February 1, 2018) – The Canadian Junior Golf Association (CJGA) is pleased to announce the partnership renewal with TaylorMade Golf Canada for the next three years.  The new partnership will see TaylorMade continue as the Official Golf Ball of the CJGA with its TP5 and TP5x golf ball.  TaylorMade will also continue as the presenting sponsor of the CJGA National Order of Merit, a season long race that identifies the top talent across the country.  New to the partnership will see TaylorMade as the presenting sponsor of the CJGA’s three 3-day Championships in British Columbia, Ontario, and Atlantic Canada.

“As one of the industry leading golf companies, we feel a special sense of duty and responsibility to support junior and amateur golf in this country,” said David Bradley, General Manager of TaylorMade Golf Canada. “Our partnership with the CJGA is one we are very proud of, and we are excited about this year, and future years to come.”

As the official golf ball, CJGA members will receive the newest addition to the TaylorMade golf ball family.  The TaylorMade TP5 and TP5x, the same golf balls played by TaylorMade athletes including the world’s top ranked golfers Dustin Johnson and Jon Rahm, will be handed out across the country to CJGA tournament participants.

“The commitment TaylorMade is making to junior golf is unquestionable and we could not be happier to expand our partnership with TaylorMade and secure the relationship through 2020” stated Brad Parkins, Chief Operations Officer of the CJGA.  “TaylorMade’s desire to get their innovative and Tour tested product into the hands of Canada’s juniors through our program aligns with their overall junior golf strategy and we are pleased to be the Canadian leaders in that regard.”

The CJGA National Order of Merit, presented by TaylorMade is a season-long race.  Each division winner of the OOM will receive a custom TaylorMade prize pack.  Mirrored after the PGA TOUR’s FedEx Cup, the CJGA National Order of Merit presented by TaylorMade is comprised of the entire tournament schedule where juniors compete nationally in their respective age divisions.  Tiered events on a national scope provide equal opportunity for juniors to accumulate points.  Events are tiered based on field size, strength of field, and length of competition to name a few.

As a program partner of the CJGA, TaylorMade will have a presence at every tour stop across the country and as presenting sponsor of the regional championships, TaylorMade will have an increased presence on-site, including branding, product, and TaylorMade representatives.   Juniors will be welcomed with a great TaylorMade tee gift just for participating as well as an enhance prize table including some of the latest TaylorMade product.
