The CJGA World Junior Challenge, now in its 25th year, is one of the marquee events conducted by the Canadian Junior Golf Association.

In 2017 the CJGA World Junior Challenge will also be including a Team Component in the Junior Tour Division along with its Individual Stroke Play Championship.

How to register Online?

Read below, then Click on the link below.

If you have participated in the World Junior Challenge in previous years, enter the email address that you may have used before and then click on Forgot Password. A new password will then be sent to your email address. You may then sign up as a NON-MEMBER. There no extra fees except for the WJC fee.

If your a new, then click on Signup. Follow all the steps re your personal information that will take you to the tournament sign-up. You may then sign up as a NON-MEMBER. There no extra fees except for the WJC fee.

Age Divisions

A player’s age will be determined as of August 1st, of the calendar year for all categories.  A player will compete in the same age division all season long.

Example:  A junior that has a birthday August 3, 2002 will compete in the Bantam (U15) division during the entire 2017 season.  Although the junior will be 15 before the season is complete, he/she was 14 as of August 1st, of the calendar year.

Individual Stroke Play Championship
In the CJGA World Junior Challenge, juniors will compete in their respective age divisions. Winners will be recognized in each division.

Team Stroke Play Championship
The CJGA Country/Academy Team Entry provides an opportunity for countries/academies throughout the world to engage in a team competition while each participant also competes in the CJGA World Junior Challenge for the Individual Championship. Each Country/Academy Team Entry will have a male
and female team component. Each team will consist of four (4) players with the three (3) best scores for each round counting towards the team total. Teams are required to have a minimum of three (3) players to compete. CJGA Country/Academy Teams can have multiple teams in the competition (example:
Team Sweden 1, and Team Sweden 2).

The CJGA World Junior Challenge will recognize the top two teams at the end of the event.

There is no charge for the Team Entry, only the individual entry.

CJGA and Innisbrook

Since the inaugural start in 1993, the CJGA World Junior Challenge has seen thousands of junior golfers, representing over 30 countries, pitted against one another in a friendly, yet very competitive environment.

Innisbrook Resort located in Palm Harbor, just north of Tampa Bay, is the home of the CJGA World Junior Challenge.

Innisbrook Resort is home to four great golf courses including The World Famous Copperhead Course which has been the host of Tampa Bay Classic, the Chrysler Classic, the PODS Championship,

JC Penny PGA TOUR/LPGA Tour mixed event and the Transitions Championship. Today, the PGA TOUR Valspar Championship is contested at Innisbrook. The Copperhead is consistently held in high regard by PGA Tour pros and is always ranked in the top 100 courses in the United States and in the top 5 of Florida’s best by national golf publications.

The CJGA World Junior Challenge has seen the likes of many professionals including Marina Alex, Harris English, Morgan Hoffman, Alena Sharp and Zack Sucker who are on the PGA TOUR / LPGA Tour.

CJGA World Junior Challenge offers Canadian and International juniors alike the opportunity to compete in an internationally ranked event.

TOURNAMENT REGISTRATION
The CJGA World Junior Challenge is an open championship available to all juniors. CJGA membership is not required. Juniors can register by submitting a tournament application by fax, email, registering online or by calling the CJGA office. Online registration is available all.

HOW TO REGISTER ONLINE

Steps:

  1. Either click on the link on the home page or go to tournament/schedule. Scroll down to the tournament on the last page. Click on the tournament.
  2. Then click on register. Fill out all the information requested.
  3. For non members, click on non member to register for the tournament. If you are member, go to your portal to register.
  4. Complete all the required information and you are done. A confirmation email will be sent to you.
  5. NOTE: Stay at Innisbrook must be booked through Innisbrook. Indicate that you are a part of the CJGA event and they will apply the discounted rate.
